Asus has announced its Chromebox for the Indian market. Asus will sell three different SKUs in India, depending on the hardware, with a starting price of Rs. 21,000.
The Chromebox is equipped with Intel’s Haswell processor, up to 4GB RAM, 16GB SSD, integrated Intel graphics, one HDMI and DisplayPort that is also capable of outputting display to two different monitors. Furthermore, Core i3 and above equipped Chromebox devices support 4K resolution and comes with an Ethernet port, Wi-Fi, USB 3.0 ports, Bluetooth 4.0, SD card slot, VESA mount support and advantages of Chrome OS like latest updates, secure from viruses, cloud storage and more.
Speaking of cloud storage, every Chromebox buyer will also get 100GB of Drive storage for free for the first two years.
Asus will sell Chromebox with a Celeron CPU for Rs. 21,000, Rs. 36,500 for the Core i3 variant and Rs. 58,000 for the Core i7 version that will be predominantly targeted at businesses.
