Taking cues from the Edison platform, Intel’s CEO announced a newer, improved module at the CES 2015. Dubbed Curie, it is a low-power button sized chip for wearable devices and is based on 32-bit Intel Quark SE SoC. Intel says Curie is ideal for always-on applications and features Bluetooth low-energy radio, accelerometer, gyroscope and battery charging.
Intel plans to ship Curie in second half of this year.
