Gionee starts rolling out Android 4.4 KitKat update for CTRL V5 and Elife S5.5

Gionee Elife S5.5 Android 4.4 KitKat

China-based Gionee has started rolling out Android 4.4 KitKat update for CTRL V5 and Elife S5.5 devices. The update will bring the devices to Android 4.4.2 KitKat and bring in improved performance and hopefully improved battery life.

While we’re unsure of the exact changes and improvements in the CTRL V5, the Elife S5.5 sports an improved home screen layout, added Du booster app and improved existing apps like Amigo Paper, Game Zone and GioneeXender.

Users with CTRL V5 and Elife S5.5 can check for the update manually by going to Settings -> About phone -> System updates -> Check for updates.
