WD announced its new line of My Passport Slim portable hard drives, making it the first slim drives to offer 2TB of storage. The external hard drive comes in a metal enclosure for a premium look and feel and measures just 4.33×3.14×0.48-inches.
In addition to offering a mammoth storage in a compact form factor, the drive also supports 256-bit hardware-based encryption, USB 3.0 compatibility, WD SmartWare Pro data that backs up all the data and keeps a copy in Dropbox.
The My Passport Slim will sell in 1TB and 2TB variants and starts from Rs. 6,999. WD has not announced the price of 2TB variant yet.
