Whatsapp maybe the prominent choice amongst messaging users in India but Japan-based LINE is quickly catching up. Shortly after officially launching the LINE app in India, the Japanese company claims their total number of users have surpassed 10 million. LINE also plans to double its subscriber base to 20 million by end of this year and have roped in Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif.
LINE distinguishes itself from competitors like Whatsapp with the use of stickers (sometimes India-exclusive) and even free audio and video calls with other LINE users.
LINE is available for free on many platforms including Android, iOS, Windows, Nokia Asha and BlackBerry.
