Samsung’s JK Shin had hinted on a faster Galaxy S4 variant for the domestic market and today they’ve officially announced the Galaxy S4 LTE-A. The USP of the phone is the support for LTE-A technology that promises data speed up to 150Mbps, two times faster than the current LTE technology.
In addition to faster data speeds, the phone is also equipped with Snapdragon 800 CPU that boasts four cores clocked at 2.3GHz, DMB and ImageON that will analyse the image you see, identify it and play a video related to the image. We’re not sure how this will work but is currently restricted to the Korean region.
Rounding up the spec sheet are 2GB RAM, 5-inch Full HD Super AMOLED Display, 13MP and 2MP cameras, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, 32GB internal memory, microSD card slot and 2600mAh battery.
The software enhancements found on the original Galaxy S4 remains unchanged.
The phone will sell in Arctic Blue and Aurora Red on SK Telecom.
