Nokia today unveiled the Lumia 925 after weeks of teasing and rumours. It is not the PureView phone we’d hoped for but Nokia has definitely improved the camera sensor to make it better than the Lumia 920. Nokia says Lumia 925 comes with the “most advanced lens technology” for low light shots and a Smart Camera app that adds functionality like the Best Shot, Action Shot and Motion Focus.
The Smart Camera app will be available to existing Lumia phones in the near future with the Amber update.
The phone also comes with a metal band on the sides, which is a step up from the current Lumia range.
The Lumia 925 runs the latest version of Windows Phone 8, comes pre-loaded with Nokia suite of apps and Hipstamatic’s new app Oggl and features a 4.5-inch WXGA AMOLED display, 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor, 1GB RAM, 8.7MP PureView camera with optical image stabilisation, 1.2MP front-facing camera, 2000mAh battery and wireless charging support via a snap-on accessory cover.
The phone will be available from June for 469 euros.
