HTC One gets official with 4.7-inch 1080p display, 1.7GHz quad-core CPU

one-off

After a series of leaks, HTC’s One Android phone has got the official acknowledgement. This is HTC’s ‘comeback’ phone that will sit atop its premium smartphone lineup for this year. HTC says the phone has been crafted with a “distinct zero-gap aluminium unibody” and comes with new HTC technologies like BlinkFeed, Zoe and BoomSound. To put it in simpler terms, BlinkFeed aggregates fresh content from variety of sources directly on the homescreen.

HTC combines Zoe with its “UltraPixel Camera” that displays the captured content in a unique way. As for the UltraPixel camera, HTC claims it to be a custom camera with f/2.0 aperture lens that gives 300 percent more light and 1080p HD video capture.

HTC BoomSound is the terminology for its integration of front-facing stereo speakers, dedicated amplifier and of course, Beats audio.

Rounding up the specs are 4.7-inch 1080p HD display, 1.7GHz quad-core Snapdragon 600 CPU, Android 4.1 OS and Sense 5.

HTC will start rolling out the One starting next month.
