Google has announced to bring offline Maps support on Android OS. Although the feature was available in the Labs menu, the offline feature will now allow users to save the map from the top-level menu option. Google’s decision to bring offline support out of the Labs will allow them to compete with other offline navigation apps like Nokia Maps.
However, there’s no word as to when the app with the new feature will be released.
