Apple today announced that their Mac App Store has clocked over 100 million app downloads since its launch less than a year ago. Apple is touting the store to give consumers a one-stop experience for all their apps and the only thing a consumer needs to have is an iTunes account (and credit card on file if you’re buying paid apps).
Apple also released some new figures related to its original App Store for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. The App Store now has over half a billion apps and has surpassed over 18 billion app downloads with 1 billion downloads every month.
