HTC to Invest $300m in Beats Electronics for Audio Improvement in HTC Phones

HTC has announced to invest $300m in Beat Electronics that is founded by rapper Dr. Dre. The investment will help HTC to improve audio on their smartphones based on Beats’ “sound innovations” that is claimed to reproduce professional studio-like sounds. Despite the controlling stake in the company, HTC has confirmed the company will be run autonomously and will have no effect on Beats Electronics partnership with companies like HP, Chrysler and Monster Cables.

HTC will roll out a complete line powered by Beats Electronics audio in the coming months.
