HTC buys Dashwire Inc. to fuel their cloud goals

HTC seems to be on a buying spree. After buying S3 Graphics few weeks back, HTC announced their plans to acquire US-based Dashwire Inc. HTC will purchase the company for $18.5m via its American outfit, HTC America Holding Inc.

Unlike S3 Graphics, which was a buy just for patent gains, Dashwire’s acquisition will help HTC to fulfill their cloud plans. HTC will integrate Dashwire’s cloud sync service with HTCSense.com.

The addition of Dashwire’s cutting-edge sync services and deep mobile cloud experience strengthens our ability to deliver these services in a more powerful way.”
