Despite the large share of rural areas in the Indian telecom market, there are many who’re still without the wireless phone connectivity. Vodafone wants to tap those, which is why they’ve come out with the cheap VF150 phone in India, also known as the Basic Magic Box.
The phone will retail for Rs. 859 and as you’d expect, the phone does not have anything spectacular except for the torch function. Other than that the phone has a 1-inch monochrome screen, Speed Dial, speaker phone and a talk time of up to 7 hours.
Vodafone will bundle their lifetime prepaid card that will carry a talk time of Rs. 10 with callertune and Vodafone alerts free for the first 30 days.
