Amkette announces compact multimedia player for Indian consumers

Looking for an affordable solution to play movies and other multimedia content from your USB drive on the TV? Well, Amkette has heard you and have rolled out affordable Flash TV in the Indian market. Its priced at a modest Rs. 2,995 and allows users to play various audio, image and high-definition video files (up to 720p) right on your television sets.

The thing works by connecting your USB HDD, flash drive or memory card and the device will playback on the TV via Component-out. Of course, it does not have HDMI-out or MKV support or 1080p resolution support but I think there’s not much to complain at this price point.
