Panasonic intros new Smart TVs and Projectors in India

At an event in New Delhi, Panasonic unraveled its new line of Viera Smart TVs and projectors. The new TV lineup includes the 32-inch TH-L32E6D model that is priced at Rs. 43,000 followed by a 42-incher TH-L42E6D at Rs. 65,000 a 60-inch Plasma – TH-P60S60D for Rs 1,32,000 and 55-inch LED TV TH-L55DT60D priced at Rs. 1,95,000. Based on Panasonic’s motto of “Smart TV Made Easy” the new TVs heavily banks on the Smart features that comes with features like My Home Screen, which works as a gateway of all the favourite things of a user on a single screen; voice guidance and interaction; facial recognition; Swipe, Share & Back 2.0 that allows to wirelessly share images, videos and web pages on the TV or check them on the mobile device. Furthermore, the TVs work with Viera Remote app and offer 100Hz backlighting and dot noise reduction that enhances the picture quality.

On the projector side, Panasonic rolled out PT-CW330 series of ultra-short-throw, PT-TW330 short throw projectors and PT-LW271 series for businesses. The new range consists of PT-CW330, PT-CW240, PT-CX300, PT-CW331R, PT-CW241R and PT-CX301R with the last three supporting dual pen support and PT-LW271, PT-LX351, PT-LX300 and PT-LX270 targeted at price sensitive markets.

The PT-CW330, PT-CW240 and PT-CW331R series projectors are capable of projecting an 80-inch image from less than 2 feet away and features brightness of up to 3,100 lumens, contrast ratio of 8,000:1, built-in 10 Watt speakers, 5,000 hours of lamp life, 3D support. The price for CW330 series range from Rs. 75,000 to Rs.95,0000.

The PT-CW331R, PT-CW241R and PT-CX301R built-in interactive features enables two users to simultaneously write on the image using IR pens, transforming it as an interactive whiteboard. PT-TW330 series has 5 models out of which two are interactive. The price ranges from Rs.49, 000 to 74,000.

The 1-Chip DLP projectors line up includes PT-LW271 with 2,700 lumens and WXGA resolution, PT-LX351 with 3,500 lumens and XGA resolution, PT-LX300 with 3,200 lumens and XGA resolution and PT-LX270 with 2,700 lumens and XGA resolution. These projectors boast a lamp life of 10,000 hours when set to auto mode, a high contrast ratio of up to 4000:1, HDMI input and more. The price for PT-LW271 series ranges from Rs.35, 000 to 52,000.
