Nokia working on augmented reality-based language translation app

Nokia is working on an application that will make text translations for travelers easy. The app reportedly is an extension of Nokia’s Point and Find app where a user will point the phone’s camera on the foreign text and the said app will translate it to user’s language of choice on-the-fly. The magic will be done with the OCR character recognition technology that will detect words and help to translate it.

Nokia hasn’t divulged on the expected release date but since it’s currently in alpha, you can expect the beta hitting the Nokia Beta labs sooner or later.
