The rumor from last week about Rogers Wireless to sell an 8GB iPhone 3GS appears to be true. The iPhone 3GS webpage on their site shows a comparison which lists the 8GB iPhone 3GS version along with other available 16 and 32GB capacities.
But despite this semi-approval the 8GB 3GS is not up for sale yet. Clicking on Buy Now does not give the option to buy the 8GB 3GS but instead shows iPhone 3G.
The price of the new 3GS is not known but since it will replace the 8GB iPhone 3G, it will be safe to assume the same price point. As per the rumor, Rogers Wireless will first clear out the old 3G inventory before allowing users to buy a smaller capacity 3GS.
