KDDI Corp is at the Wireless Japan 2009 showcasing a microSD card fitted with a Wi-Fi radio. Sure, the concept is not new but KDDI Corp’s entry could give Eye-Fi a tough time if they decide to release it globally (particularly in US). The miniscule card measures a 11 x 16 x 0.7mm and will work with a number of microSD card supported devices as compared to Eye-Fi’s compatibility with only digital cameras. KDDI has not zeroed in with the price or availability.
