Omron toothbrush integrates acceleration sensor

UPDATE: TechOn English have translated the article. Apart from detecting the angle, it also determines the position of the brush in the mouth and controls the vibration speed accordingly.

I don’t know if there is any need but here it is. Omron Healthcare from Japan will sell HT-B551 toothbrush with an acceleration sensor that will detect the angle of the toothbrush during brushing. What advantages it brings is totally dependent on your Japanese reading skills because machine translation is not that helpful.

It is available in the Japanese market for 8000 Yen.
