Four new point-and-shoot cameras from Samsung

Samsung announced four new prosumer cameras for North America. It includes two entry level SL202 and SL30 and a bit more advanced SL820 and SL620.

SL202 and SL30 offers quite a number of features for its price tag. Both has a 10MP lens from Samsung, 3X optical zoom, video recording, image stabilizer, face detection and beauty shot. The features that sets SL202 apart from the latter is a tad larger 2.7-inch screen compared to SL30’s 2.5-inch and other photography blings like smile shot, blink detection, self portrait and frame guide. There’s also Smart Auto that selects the camera mode automatically depending on the environment and Smart Album that automatically organizes all the images according to date, week, color tone and various other different criterions.

SL820 and SL620 are 12MP cameras with the former boasting a 28-mm wide angle lens while the latter, a standard 35mm lens. Both have 5X optical zoom, 3-inch LCD, dual image stabilizer (optical plus digital) and bunch of photography features taken from SL202.

SL820 is the dominator here because it brings in 720p video recording and HDMI-out for an extra 80 bucks.
