Microsoft has directed legal action towards more manufacturers dealing in Android devices. The Redmond giant has now filed a complaint with the ITC against Barnes & Noble for its Nook reader and its manufacturers, Foxconn and Inventec.
Microsoft says Android platform infringes number of their patents and companies using Android OS for their products should respect their intellectual property rights. Microsoft had even created an industry-wide patent licensing program for Android manufacturers but the aforementioned companies refused to take the license and hence, the lawsuit.
MS claims Android devices infringe on number of Microsoft patents related to user experience, surfing and interacting with documents and e-books.
