Apparently, we’ve got one of the first phones confirmed to run Google’s Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) OS. According to a tweet from Open Handset Alliance official Alvaro Fuentes Vasquez, Google will release an over-the-air update of Android 2.3 to Nexus One users using the developer version.
The translated tweet reads “Prepare your Nexus One (Developer version) for Android OTA update 2.3 (Gingerbread) for the next few days:-D.”
Google is yet to make the Gingerbread OS official but if the aforementioned tweet holds any water, we might get a confirmation from the Android maker in the next few days.
