Both the Korean mobile manufacturers have confirmed their Android devices will be updated to the recently released Gingerbread OS. LG has issued a “public notice” saying that its cheapest Android smartphone – Optimus One will receive the Android 2.3 update. The upgrade schedule is unconfirmed but will be announced in “due course.”

Meanwhile, Samsung India’s twitter account confirmed to few users that its high-end Galaxy S smartphone will be treated with the Gingerbread goodness but remained silent on the updates for its lower-end Android smartphones.
