LG XOXO phone fights iPhone’s Retina Display with HXGA screen (1024×480 pixels)

In case, you’re wondering the phone’s name signifies the ubiquitous web expression of hugs and kisses. However, we’ll keep its name debate aside and concentrate on the phone’s unique selling point — the display.

The XOXO (canU-T1200) features a 3.8-inch LCD touchscreen display with HXGA resolution (1024×480) and a quick math suggests that the screen’s pixels per inch (PPI) comes to around 298, which is not as good as the iPhone 4’s Retina Display but better than most smartphones in the market.

Additionally, the phone has a 5MP autofocus camera with flash, 720p HD video playback with DivX support, Wi-Fi, full HTML web browser, OZ App Store support and comes color options of black and purple and white and silver.

The phone will be available on LG U+ for 700,000 won.
