UPDATE: The 22-inch model costs Rs. 25,000 and 26-inch model costs Rs. 36,000.
Samsung has introduced two smaller sized LED TV models for the Indian market. The LED TVs are now available in sizes of 22-inches and 26-inches and start from an affordable price of Rs. 25,000.
The TVs hail from 4000 and 5000 Series and boast similar features to high-end LED TV series like full HD support, high dynamic contrast ratio, Allshare, Anynet, HDMI ports and Touch of Color (ToC) design.
For the uninitiated, LED LCD TVs use LEDs as their light source that produces better picture quality than a conventional LCD. The power consumption is also reduced by 40% compared to LCD HDTVs and does not use environment harming materials like mercury and lead.
Samsung currently has 13 LED TV models in India ranging from Rs. 25,000 to Rs. 200,000 and expects to capture 40% of the flat panel TV market by end of this year.
