iPhone 4’s glass surface not so durable?

One of iPhone 4’s cool features is that the front and back is covered in glass. To be exact, Apple iPhone 4 comes with aluminosilicate glass that is used in windshields of helicopters, high-speed trains and claims to be 20 times stiffer and 30 times harder than plastic, making it ultra-durable.
However, a test from iFixyouri indicates otherwise. They claim to be in possession of original Apple iPhone 4 parts sans the circuit board and put the non-working iPhone 4 through a series of drop tests. The iPhone survived couple of drops but the third drop resulted in a “loud POP” and a shattered glass.
The site says the new iPhone has the glass placed above the aluminum frame, which is a “design flaw that will bite them in the future.”
