Apple pushes iPad’s international launch to May due to strong US demand

Apple today issued a small statement saying that they’ve postponed the international launch of its iPad tablet. Apple says “surprisingly strong US demand” has led the postponement of the iPad by a month. Apple will soon announce the international pricing along with the countries and will start taking pre-orders on May 10 while ship in late May.
Apple also confirmed that they shipped more than 500,000 iPads in the opening weekend and the demand will likely continue to exceed supply over the next several weeks.
