Asus pulled the trigger pretty fast. The news about Asus prepping a new netbook broke out last Friday and a day after, they have given it an official acknowledgement. The 1004DN is the second netbook (first is Mouse LB-F1550W) to sport a DVD drive and features the usual netbook specs – 10-inch screen, 1.66GHz Intel Atom N280 processor, up to 2gigs of RAM, 120GB HDD, chiclet style keyboard etc. Akihabaranewssays the netbook will cost around $590, coinciding with the previous report.
