NVIDIA GeForce NOW officially hits India: Everything you need to know

April 16, 2026 By News Team Leave a Comment

GeForce_NOW

NVIDIA has officially confirmed that GeForce NOW (GFN) is launching in India on April 16, 2026. Whether you’re rocking an old MacBook, a budget Android phone, or a Chromebook, you’re about to have access to a high-end RTX gaming rig via the cloud. Here’s the breakdown of the launch, the tech behind it, and how you can get in on the action.

The Launch: Why This Time is Different

Unlike previous “soft launches” or third-party partnerships that never quite felt native, NVIDIA has gone all-in this time. To ensure the ultra-low latency required for competitive gaming, NVIDIA has established dedicated servers in Mumbai.
By managing the infrastructure directly, NVIDIA aims to deliver a seamless experience that rivals local hardware, even for fast-paced titles like Counter-Strike 2 and Fortnite.

The Membership Tiers: From Free to “Ultimate

NVIDIA is bringing its global “three-tier” system to India, catering to both casual players and hardcore enthusiasts:
1. Free Tier (Ad-Supported): * Performance: RTX 3050-class. • Specs: Up to 1080p at 60 FPS. • The Catch: 1-hour session limits and queue times (with ads). Perfect for testing your internet connection.
2. Performance Tier: * Performance: RTX 3060/4060-class. • Specs: Up to 1440p at 60 FPS. • Benefits: No ads, 6-hour sessions, and priority server access.
3. Ultimate Tier (The Beast): * Performance: RTX 5080-class (Blackwell architecture). • Specs: Up to 4K resolution at 240 FPS (or 5K on select setups). • Benefits: 8-hour sessions, DLSS 4 support, and the lowest possible latency.

How to Register for GeForce NOW India?
The rollout begins in Public Beta today, that is on April 16. Access will be granted in “waves,” so those who sign up early will get the first invites.

Step-by-Step Registration:
1. Visit the Official Portal: Head over to the NVIDIA India GeForce NOW microsite.
2. Join the Waitlist: Click on the “Register” or “Join Waitlist” button.
3. Create/Login to NVIDIA Account: You’ll need an NVIDIA account to track your status.
4. Watch Your Inbox: Keep an eye out for an invitation email containing your access code and instructions on how to download the app for Windows, macOS, Android, or iOS.

What Games Can You Play?
GeForce NOW doesn’t work like Netflix; you don’t “rent” the games. Instead, it connects to your existing libraries on Steam, Epic Games Store, Ubisoft Connect, and Xbox Game Pass.

With over 2,000+ titles supported (and 4,000+ for premium members), you can play everything from Cyberpunk 2077 with full Ray Tracing to the newly launched International Edition Cricket 26.

Final Thoughts: Is India Ready for Cloud Gaming?
With 5G penetration hitting record highs and fiber broadband becoming a household standard in urban India, the timing for GFN couldn’t be better. While Xbox Cloud Gaming has had a head start, NVIDIA’s focus on raw performance (RTX 5080 in the cloud!) gives it a massive edge for serious gamers.
