Acer has introduced the Nitro Blaze 8, Nitro Blaze 11, and the Nitro Mobile Gaming Controller at CES 2025 in Las Vegas. These cutting-edge devices are designed to redefine portable gaming, combining powerful performance, immersive visuals, and thoughtful design features for gamers on the go.

The Nitro Blaze 8 and Nitro Blaze 11 are Acer’s latest additions to the handheld gaming market, offering high-performance gaming in a compact form factor. Powered by AMD Ryzen 7 8840HS processors with AMD Ryzen AI capabilities, these devices deliver up to 39 AI TOPS for seamless multitasking and gameplay. Equipped with 16GB of LPDDR5x memory and up to 2TB of PCIe Gen 4 NVMe storage, gamers can expect lightning-fast loading times and smooth performance for even the most demanding AAA titles.
The Nitro Blaze series shines with stunning WQXGA touch displays. The Nitro Blaze 8 features an 8.8-inch screen with up to 144 Hz refresh rate, while the Nitro Blaze 11 boasts a larger 10.95-inch display with a 120 Hz refresh rate. Both displays deliver up to 500 nits of brightness and exceptional color accuracy (97–98% DCI-P3 color gamut). Supported by AMD Radeon 780M Graphics and technologies like Radeon Super Resolution and AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution, gamers can experience fluid, vivid visuals with minimal tearing or lag.
Acer has integrated its Game Space app into the Nitro Blaze devices, providing a centralized hub for managing and launching games. Hall Effect triggers and sticks, DTS:X Ultra Audio, and robust connectivity options (USB 4, Wi-Fi 6E, and Bluetooth 5.3) further enhance gameplay. Complementing the Nitro Blaze devices, Acer also unveiled the Nitro Mobile Gaming Controller. This portable, foldable controller is compatible with Android and iOS devices, featuring adjustable grips that can accommodate screens up to 8.3 inches. The controller’s design ensures secure handling during gameplay, even with device cases.

The Nitro Blaze 8 will start at $899 USD, and the Nitro Blaze 11 at $1,099 USD in North America, with availability beginning in Q2 2025. Meanwhile, the Nitro Mobile Gaming Controller will retail for $69.99 USD, available from Q2 in North America and Q1 in EMEA.
