Qualcomm Technologies has announced a expansion of its Snapdragon X Series portfolio, unveiling the Snapdragon X Plus 8-core platform. This latest addition focused to enable Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to offer Copilot+ PCs in the more affordable $700 to $900 range.

At the heart of the new Snapdragon X Plus platform is the custom Qualcomm Oryon CPU, designed to maintain performance leadership in thin and light PCs. The 8-core processor not only delivers lightning-fast responsiveness but also sets a new standard in power efficiency, allowing for multi-day battery life. According to Qualcomm, the Snapdragon X Plus offers 61% faster CPU performance, while competitor peak performance requires 179% more power. This performance is supported by an integrated GPU and the ability to connect up to three external monitors, ensuring that users experience exceptional graphics and immersive visuals.

One of the standout features of the Snapdragon X Plus 8-core platform is its 45 TOPS (Tera Operations Per Second) NPU, which drives advanced on-device AI experiences. This powerful AI engine empowers both consumers and enterprise users to benefit from groundbreaking capabilities, including AI-powered Copilot+ functionalities that enhance productivity, creativity, and everyday tasks. Whether it’s creating presentations on-the-go or engaging in high-quality video conferencing, the Snapdragon X Plus is designed to push the boundaries of what’s possible in ultra-portable devices.

The new Snapdragon X Plus 8-core platform has garnered strong support from major industry players. Select PCs powered by the Snapdragon X Plus 8-core are available for purchase starting today from leading brands including Acer, ASUS, Dell Technologies, HP, Lenovo, and Samsung.
