Xiaomi 14 Civi (Cinematic Vision) launched in India today. As the name suggests, the highlight of the phone are its lenses that are powered by Leica. Featuring 6.55-inch AMOLED supporting Dolby Vision and HDR10+, the display has a 120Hz refresh rate. Xiaomi 14 Civi is powered by Snapdragon 8s Gen3 Mobile platform and comes in two variants, that is, 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB.
As mentioned, the highlight of the smartphone are the cameras by Leica. The main camera is a 50-megapixel sensor with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS), there is another 50-megapixel telephoto lens with 2x zoom and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens. The rear camera photography features two photographic styles (Leica Authentic Look, Leica Vibrant Look), Leica filters, Leica classic shutter sound, Leica Watermark, Master-lens system, 35mm Documentary, 50mm Swirly bokeh and 90mm Soft focus lens. All the lenses can click photos in the night mode and digital zoom up to 20x.
The rear camera video capture supports HDR recording up to 4K at 30fps, 4K (3840×2160) video recording at 24 fps, 30 fps, or 60 fps, 1080p (1920×1080) HD video recording at 30 fps, or 60 fps, 720p (1280×720) HD video recording at 30 fps and Ultra Night video up to 4K at 24fps. For selfie lovers, the Xiaomi 14 Civi comes with dual front cameras, both 32-megapixel.
Xiaomi 14 Civi comes with 4700mAh battery and supports 67W fast charging. This is a 5G phone with dual nano SIM support. Xiaomi 14 Civi runs on Android 14 with HyperOS on top.
Xiaomi 14 Civi is available in Blue, Green and Black colours. The 8GB + 256GB version retails at Rs. 42,999 and the 12GB + 512GB version retails for Rs. 47,999. There are bank offers up to Rs. 3000 which will further reduce the price of the phone. Buyers also get Redmi Watch 3 Active worth Rs. 2,999 free with the phone.
Considering the specs and the camera capabilities, Xiaomi 14 Civi looks a solid buy on paper. However, once the reviews will be out, it will be more clear if the phone is a worthy contender.
