Oppo Reno7 Pro will be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 1200 MAX

MediaTek Dimensity 1200 MAX

Oppo’s marketing surrounding the upcoming Reno7 series has gone into overdrive and before they announce the phones to the world later this week, the company has confirmed the SoC that will power the flagship device of the lineup – Reno7 Pro.

The Reno7Pro will be powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 1200 but will be a customized one known as MediaTek Dimensity 1200 MAX. The customization comes from the partnership between Oppo and MediaTek but the Dimensity 1200 MAX is touted to be one of the fastest smartphone CPUs in the market, which boasts Arm Cortex-A78 cores with a clock speed of 3GHz with up to 5100Mbps peak downlink and 700Mbps uplink speeds. The chipset also features AI Deblur technology developed by Oppo that sharpens faces in portraits if there’s an accidental motion while taking the picture. Additionally, the AI-PQ (picture quality) will help enhance color and contrast in HDR videos along with the use of AI to make adjustments to the picture based on the subject matter.

Oppo Reno7 Pro 5G is also confirmed to have a top-of-the-line X-Axis Linear Motor for improved vibration feedback, Ultra Touch Response, touch sampling rate up to 1000Hz and AI Frame Rate Stabilizer to improve the overall gaming experience. The phone will also Oppo’s 65W SUPERVOOC charging technology that will charge the phone in just 31 minutes.

As for the rest of the series, the Reno7 series will come with 256GB storage and 12GB RAM options, virtual RAM expansion with Oppo’s tech and ColorOS 12.
