With new smartphones supporting wireless charging, wireless chargers have become a must-have accessory. Earlier, these chargers used to cost a bomb and did not deliver desired charging speeds. However, now they have evolved and also come at good price points. Additionally, they also offer fast charging capabilities.

We are reviewing one such charger here, the Yootech Wireless Charging stand. The model number of this charging stand is X1 and comes in black colour. The charger is simple and easy to use. It has a rectangular tilted stand to support the phone. The base houses an LED light that indicates the status of the charge. The retail box comes with the charger, a Type C cable and a brief user manual. The Yootech wireless charging stand supports fast charging up to 10W. It uses a type-C charger to power itself. A note here that the company does not bundle any power brick along with the device. We used the Samsung fast charger along with Yootech wireless charging stand.

Charging a device wirelessly is as easy as it sounds – just place it on the stand it starts charging. This is a Qi-certified charger and features three charging modes as per phones. The 10W charging mode is compatible with Samsung devices like the Galaxy S series and the Galaxy Note lineup. It even supports older models up to Galaxy S8. The 7.5W charging mode is for iPhone SE 2020, iPhone 11 series and iPhone XS phones till iPhone 8 Plus. The 5W charging mode works on any Qi-enabled devices. Yootech recommends a Quick Charge QC 2.0/3.0 adapter or an iPhone 11 series or Samsung Galaxy Note 10 series PD adapter.

Yootech wireless charging stand comes with dual charging coils; this needs to negate the need to keep the phone at a pre-determined place or an angle. Besides, you can charge the phone in landscape or portrait, allowing you to use it as a kickstand as well. The charging stand also works with smartphones protected with a case. It works with rubber/plastic/TPU cases of up to 4mm thickness. Cases made of metal, attachments such as magnets, cards, grips will interfere with charging.

We tested the charger with our Samsung Galaxy Note10+. The phone took around 4.5 hours to charge from 0% to 100%. While not great charging speed, but a convenient option for people who charge their phones at night. Speaking of which, Yootech wireless charging stand features multifunctional Intelligent Protect Technology that provides temperature control, surge protection, short-circuit prevention to your phone. Hence overnight charging is safe.

Conclusion

Yootech Wireless charging stand retails for Rs. 1,499 on Amazon India. While there are other expensive chargers of the same capacity, Yootech’s affordability with good build quality makes it a good buy. Besides, the company offers 12 months warranty on the same. With decent charging speed, type-C support, Qi-compatible and support for various smartphones, the Yootech wireless charging stand is a worthy contender to be considered.
