Redmi debuts its X-series range of smart TVs

While Xiaomi already has its smart TV under the Mi TV brand, the parent company has now introduced X-series range of smart TVs. The Redmi X-series smart TVs are available in 50-inch, 55-inch and 65-inch screen sizes.

The new TVs come powered with Vivid Picture Engine, an in-house image processing algorithm that provides exceptional colour accuracy, colour vibrancy and contributes to the ultra-bright display, for stunning visuals in every condition.

All the TVs in this series are 4K and support Dolby Vision and HDR 10+. To provide a smooth, blur-free viewing experience the new Redmi Smart TV X Series are equipped with a Reality Flow display, that brings Motion Estimation, Motion Compensation to the segment. For Audio enhancement, Redmi TV X Series comes equipped with 30W stereo speakers with Dolby Audio and support for DTS Virtual:X. It also supports Dolby Atmos via HDMI eARC passthrough to external Atmos soundbars/AV receivers.

Powering these TVs are a 64-bit quad-core A55 processor coupled with Mali G52 graphics. They come with 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM. Redmi claims a jitter-free and seamless consumption of content via the ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode) for minimal lag, that is, as low as 5ms at 4K 60fps during gameplay via consoles.

The new lineup will feature Android TV 10, the latest version of PatchWall, and access to over 25+ content partners across 16 languages. The TVs also support Google Assistant and Chromecast built-in.

In terms of connectivity, the TVs feature HDMI 2.1 compatible ports. They come with e-ARC support that acts as a great booster for bandwidth and audio speed. In addition, it sports two USB and one optical port and a 3.5-mm jack.

Redmi Smart TVs will be available across Mi.com, Amazon.in, Mi Home and Mi Studio stores, starting 26th March, 12 noon.
