Unlike Microsoft, Sony has been keeping their cards close to the chest when it comes to their upcoming gaming console. Only recently, Sony held a detailed virtual session deep-diving into PS5’s tech and now out of nowhere, the Japanese console maker has confirmed the name, design and features of the controller that will be bundled with the PS5.
Dubbed DualSense, the controller’s design is still based on DualShock 4 but is more refined. The DualSense is curvier than the current controller and interestingly, have a dual-tone design. It is supposedly more ergonomic-friendly as well and comes with haptic feedback and adaptive triggers in the L2 and R2 buttons for increased effect.
The DualSense also comes with an integrated rechargeable battery with an improved battery life and a new Create button to replace the Share button found on the DualShock 4.
Finally, in addition to the 3.5m headphone jack, Sony has also added a microphone array that will allow users to continue chatting with their friends without the need of a dedicated headset.
