A day after Microsoft’s in-depth reveal of the hardware powering the Xbox Series X, Sony just confirmed that they will follow the suit with their upcoming PS5 console. Claiming to “shape the future of games,” the deep dive will be hosted by PS5 lead system architect Mark Cerny giving in-depth details of the hardware and hopefully the very first look of the console, which is still shrouded in mystery.
The only thing Sony has officially confirmed is the PS5 name at the CES earlier this year and bits and pieces of information through exclusive articles with different publications.
Other things we know that the PS5 will have are 3D Audio sound, adaptive triggers, ultra-high speed SSD, Ray Tracing support and UHD Blu-ray.
Sony will publish more details tomorrow at 9AM PST, which is at 9:30PM IST.
Microsoft’s Xbox Series X will use AMD’s custom Zen 2 CPU with RDNA 2 GPU, 16GB RAM and 1TB NVMe SSD.
Tomorrow at 9am Pacific Time, PS5 lead system architect Mark Cerny will provide a deep dive into PS5’s system architecture, and how it will shape the future of games.
