Honor announces View30 and View30 Pro 5G phones in China

Honor announced its View30 series smartphones in China. The Honor View30 and Honor View30 Pro are first dual-mode 5G smartphones. This means the phones can be also used on 4G networks. Both these phones are powered by HiSilicon’s Kirin 990 chipset, the Honor View30 features 6GB/8GB RAM options with single storage of 128GB. On the other hand, the View 30 Pro comes with 8GB and storage option of 128GB and 256GB. The display size of the View30 Pro is 6.57-inch with hole-in-display where the dual selfie cameras are housed.

The Honor View30 Pro comes with a SuperSensing Triple camera that comprises a 40-megapixel Sony IMX600 primary camera, a 12-megapixel super wide-angle cine-lens, and an 8-megapixel telephoto camera. The View 30 has a similar camera setup however, it comes with an 8-megapixel super wide-angle camera. The Honor View30 Pro’s 12-megapixel cine-camera is supported with a 4-in-1 light fusion (effective 2.8?m pixels) from an RGGB sensor and a 109° super wide-angle lens, along with a 16:9 customized sensor to create movie-grade photos and videos. The front camera is 32-megapixel and an 8-megapixel wide-angle selfie camera.

Both these phones feature GPU Turbo and Kirin Gaming+ 2.0 for the powerful gaming experience. The phones also support Honor Supercharge which charges the phone to 52% in 30 mins; while the Pro version supports Super Wireless Charge as well. The Honor View30 6GB/128GB storage variant is priced at 3299 Yuan (approx Rs. 34,000) and the 8GB/128GB storage variant retails for 3699 Yuan (approx Rs. 38,000). The View30 Pro 8GB/128GB variant retails for 3899 Yuan (approx Rs. 40,000) and 8GB/256GB variant will sell for 4199 Yuan (approx Rs. 43,000). The phones will be available from 5 December and 12 December.

Along with Honor View30 series, it also announced the Honor MagicBook Series, comprising of MagicBook 14 and MagicBook 15. Upgrade over the last generation, the Honor MagicBook 14 comes with the AMD Ryzen 7 3700U processor, high-speed PCIe SSD, up to 16GB RAM and a 56Wh battery. On the other hand, the new MagicBook 15 features a large 15.6-inch display with an 87% screen-to-body ratio.
