Apple’s Gaming and Entertainment subscription starts at Rs. 99

September 11, 2019 By Anish Leave a Comment

Apple’s gaming service, the Apple Arcade, and Apple TV+ have been announced at extremely competitive pricing in India. The Apple Arcade gaming service was revealed last year, however, users will be able to subscribe and play Arcade games on Apple devices from 19 September with iOS 13. These gaming titles are exclusive to Apple and will not be available anywhere else. Apple Arcade games can be played offline, and a single subscription includes access for up to six family members with Family Sharing. The catalog will exceed 100 games in the coming weeks as new titles are introduced, with more games to come every month.

Renowned Game developers like Gameloft, Sega, Bandai Namco, Konami, Ubisoft and more have already partnered with Apple to provide a host of games at the launch. Games from all genres will be available. These are the full version of games with No Ads and all the games are playable offline. Apple Arcade is the world’s first game subscription service that enables such a wide breadth of new titles to be played across mobile, desktop and TV. To give users maximum flexibility when playing, some games will support controllers, including Xbox Wireless Controllers with Bluetooth, PlayStation DualShock 4 and MFi game controllers, in addition to touch controls and Siri Remote.

Apple Arcade will be available via a new tab on the App Store for Rs. 99 per month and is launching with a one-month free trial in more than 150 countries and regions. The subscription will automatically renew at Rs. 99 per month at the end of the one-month free trial until canceled. Customers can cancel at any time in Settings at least one day before each renewal date. Apple Arcade will be available on September 19 with iOS 13, on September 30 on iPadOS and tvOS 13, and in October on macOS Catalina.

On the entertainment front, Apple announced the Apple TV+ subscription service. Apple TV+ will feature Apple Orignals, movies and documentaries. The service will launch on 1 November across 100 countries and regions. This service will be available on the Apple TV app on iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, iPod touch, Mac and other platforms, including online at tv.apple.com. The subscription for Apple TV+ is Rs. 99 per month with a one-week free trial. Like the Apple Arcade, through family sharing, up to six family members can share one Apple TV+ subscription. At the launch, Apple also announced its upcoming Apple TV+ Original ‘SEE’ starring Jason Momoa.

Subscribers can watch Apple TV+ originals both online and offline, ad-free and on-demand, on the Apple TV app, which comes pre-installed on iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, and iPod touch and will soon be on Mac with macOS Catalina. The Apple TV app is also available on select Samsung smart TVs, and will come to Amazon Fire TV, LG, Roku, Sony and VIZIO platforms in the future. Customers can also sign up and watch Apple TV+ originals on the web at tv.apple.com.
