YouTube Originals to be free from 24 September

YouTube launched its Originals service this year in India. YouTube Originals feature original series, movies and events from YouTube. One can view the video catalog at the YouTube Originals Channel on Youtube.com

Although YouTube Originals started as a premium subscription model, starting 24 September 2019, one can watch the Originals content without premium membership. However, free users will be greeted with Ads, delayed release of videos as compared to premium members who will get access to all available episodes in a series when they premiere. Premium members will also be able to download the Originals content for offline viewing and will get access to bonus content such as director’s cuts, extra scenes and more, which the free users will lack. Besides this, free users might not get to watch all the videos in a series.
