Google’s vision to offer full experience to entry-level Android phone users gave birth to Android Go edition. Besides this, there are already Go edition apps like YouTube Go, Maps Go, Google Go which will be redesigned and will be a part of the Android Pie Go edition OS.
These apps include unique features, like free downloading in YouTube Go, that aren’t found in the classic app. Maps Go now features navigation, making it possible for people with Go edition devices or unstable connections to use turn-by-turn directions. Files Go, which has saved users ~90TB of space since launch, is now capable of transferring data peer-to-peer, without using mobile data, at speeds up to ~490Mbps. Assistant Go now supports additional languages including Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese and Indonesian, and has expanded support for device actions like controlling Bluetooth, camera and flashlight, and added reminders.
