OnePlus releases software update cycle for its devices

Updates are a must for today’s smartphones. They often crush existing bugs, enhance features and provide a stable user experience. OnePlus is pretty decent in rolling out updates for their devices. However, to make it more formal, OnePlus announced the software maintenance and upgrade cycle. This cycle is applicable for OnePlus 3/3T, OnePlus 5/5T, OnePlus 6 devices.

OnePlus will provide two years of regular software updates from the release date of the phone. This includes new features, Android updates and security patches. Besides this, it will provide additional one year of Android security patch updates every two months.

Users of OnePlus 3/3T will receive the last Open Beta build this week. The stable version will be rolled out at the beginning of July. As per the OnePlus Software Maintenance Schedule, OnePlus 3 and 3T will be getting regular OTA updates till November 2018 and 1 year of extended Android security patches.
