Xiaomi announces Redmi 5, starts from Rs. 7,999

Xiaomi is on a product launching spree. We’re just into the third month of 2018 and Xiaomi has announced their sixth product of the year, the Redmi 5. The phone takes over from the affordable Redmi 4 and is in fact, one of the slimmest Redmi with a thickness of 7.7mm and a premium metal body with rounded corners.

The phone sports a 5.7-inch HD+ 18:9 display along with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 450 octa-core processor, 12MP rear camera, 5MP front-facing camera with selfie flash, 3300mAh battery, MIUI 9 and depending on the variant you choose, there’s 2GB+16GB, 3GB+32GB and 4GB+64GB variants in gold, black, rose gold and laku blue colour options.

The phone will go on sale from March 20 on Mi.com, Amazon.in and Mi Home stores for Rs. 7,999, Rs. 8,999 and Rs. 10,999.
