Sony announces XA1 Ultra for Rs. 29,990

July 20, 2017 By Anish Leave a Comment

Sony added a new phone in the ‘X’ series, the Xperia XA1 Ultra. This is the successor to the last years model, the XA Ultra. The phone features edge-to-edge screen by the sides, however, sports large bezels at the top and bottom. The highlight of the phone is its camera that features 23-megapixel lens and an F2.0 lens. The front camera features 16-megapixel sensor with an optical image stabiliser that aids in good selfies. The phone also features smart selfie flash that illuminates your face while taking selfies. One can take selfies by just a hand wave.

The 6-inch screen offers Full HD resolution and is powered by MediaTek Helio P20 octa-core processor, 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage. You can use a 256GB microSD card in case you want to increase the storage space. The battery is rated at just 2700mAh, but the phone comes with Qnovo Adaptive charging and Quick charging (MediaTek PumpExpress 2.0). Sony bundles a quick charger worth Rs. 1490 along with the phone.

New addition to the phone are the Xperia Actions. This technology aims to learn your usage patterns to simplify your daily life by suggesting customisable settings and personalised recommendations. For instance, when you go to bed your Xperia can learn your bedtime routine and automatically adjust the screen brightness and call volume. Or if you have travel plans your Xperia will be able to assist you before and when you arrive by detecting your location at an airport and suggesting you allow it to download offline maps and a local language dictionary.

The phone runs on Android Nougat. Sony offers Sony LIV 3 months subscription free and Rs. 1000 off on a purchase of XA1 Ultra with Style Cover Stand. The phone is available in Black, White and Gold colours at a price tag of Rs. 29,990.
