Google starts rolling out Android 7.1.1

Google has now started rolling out the latest Android Nougat 7.1.1 update for Nexus, Android One and Pixel range. The update brings in new improvements and better performance along with some of the features that was first introduced in the Pixel range.

The update now comes with new women-centric emojis to promote gender equality. Additionally, sending GIFs directly from the keyboard is now supported on apps like Google Allo, Google Messenger, Hangouts and even brings app shortcuts by long pressing the app icon.

The update will be rolled out to Nexus 6, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, Nexus 9, Pixel, Pixel XL, Nexus Player, Pixel C and General Mobile 4G (Android One) in the next few weeks.
