Western Digital has enhanced its My Passport and My Book portable series with new designs with textured bottom. The company says that this cohesive design language is developed to help make a connection between the device and user. Besides just cosmetic changes, the new drives also include password protection and hardware encryption of 256-bit AES.
The My Passport drives will now come in four colours – Black, White, Red and Blue. The My Book comes in storage size up to 8TB and is ideal for desktop users. Both of these series come with an automatic backup solution.
My Passport hard drives and My Book desktop hard drives both come with two years limited warranty and are available at select retailers and distributors around the country. My Passport drives have a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of Rs. 7,980 for 1TB and My Book retails for Rs. 13,050 for 3TB.
