Acer launches Swift series of laptops at IFA Berlin

At the ongoing IFA Berlin, Acer unveiled its new Swift series of ultra-thin and lightweight laptops. The Swift series comprises of four laptops – Swift 7, Swift 5, Swift 3 and Swift 1. All the laptops in the series feature Windows 10. Out of this, the Swift 7 is the thinnest laptop that measures under 1cm and weighs just 1.1lg.

The Swift 7 features a 13.3-inch screen made of Gorilla Glass. Powered by the 7th gen Intel Core i5 processor, 256GB SSD storage and 8GB of RAM, the Swift 7 features the latest wireless technology MU-MIMO, 2 x USB 3 ports, Type-C port and HD webcam with HDR capability.

Another in the line-up is the Swift 5 that weighs 1.36kg with a 14-inch Full HD IPS display. This is also powered by the 7th gen Intel Core processors coupled with fast SSDs (256 or 512 SATA or PCIe), up to 8GB of memory and the MIMO wireless technology

The third in the series is the Acer Swift 3. The Swift 3 models pair a 14-inch HD or Full HD IPS anti-glare display with 6th or 7th Generation Intel Core processors, 512Gb SSD, up to 8GB memory and 2×2 MU-MIMO 802.11ac wireless technology.

Additional features include a USB 3.1 Type-C port (for fast data transfers, connection to an external display, and to charge the notebook), and an HD webcam with HDR support. You also get the option to select the back-lit keyboard. A built-in fingerprint scanner is located at the upper right-hand corner of the palm rest.

Swift 1
The last in the series is the Swift 1. Targeted at budget buyers, the Swift 1 is features a 14-inch HD display, an Intel Pentium or Celeron processor, 4GB of memory and either 32GB, 64GB or 128GB of eMMC storage.

Price and Availability
The Acer Swift 7 will be available in North America in October with prices starting at $999; in EMEA in October with prices starting at €1,299; and in China in September with prices starting at ¥6,999.

The Acer Swift 5 will be available in North America in November with prices starting at $749; in EMEA in November with prices starting at €749; and in China in October with prices starting at ¥5,999.

The Acer Swift 3 will be available in North America in October with prices starting at $499; in EMEA in October with prices starting at €499; and in China in September with prices starting at ¥4,999.

The Acer Swift 1 will be available in North America in November with prices starting at $249 and in EMEA in October with prices starting at €349.
