YUNICORN is the latest entry to the YU series. Launched today, the smartphone sports a uni-metal body with 5.5in full HD display. Running on Mediatek Helio P10 with 4GB RAM and 32GB storage, YUNICORN features 4000 mAH battery, fingerprint scanner at the front and cloud storage in support with MiMedia. The phone however, still runs on Android 5.1 (Lollipop), we would have expected it to come with Android M.
On the camera front, the YUNICORN features 13-megapixel primary camera and 5-megapixel secondary camera. The phone supports 4G LTE and is dual-sim compatible.
Along with YUNICORN, YU also announced the updated version of ‘Around’ with an integrated wallet UDIO and Mi-Media, a cloud storage solution for unlimited photo uploads. The phone will be exclusively available on Flipkart; the registrations have begun from 2 PM today (31st May 2016); First sale is scheduled on June 7, 2016, 2 PM onwards.
