Asus launches ZenFone series in India

Asus ZenFone 6

As expected, Asus has announced its ZenFone series in India. The ZenFone series consists of three devices – ZenFone 4, ZenFone 5 and ZenFone 6 and are priced very aggressively to take on the highly competitive smartphone market.

Priced at just Rs. 5,999, the Asus ZenFone 4 is powered by Intel’s 1.2GHz dual-core Atom Z2520 processor and 1GB RAM. The phone runs Android Jelly Bean OS which will be upgradable to Android KitKat and features a 4-inch WVGA display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3, Bluetooth 4.0, 5 megapixel main camera with front-facing VGA camera, dual-SIM support, microSD card slot and 8GB internal memory. The ZenFone 4 boasts Zen UI that brings in the low light support, selfie mode and more.

The ZenFone 5 starts from Rs. 9,999 and we were fairly impressed with the device when we had our brief hands on with. The ZenFone 5 will be available in 8GB and 16GB variants and comes with a 5-inch 720p IPS+ panel, 2GB RAM, dual-SIM support, 8 megapixel main camera, 2 megapixel front-facing camera, microSD card slot and 2110mAh battery.

The ZenFone 6 is the premium of the lot with a 720p HD 6-inch display, 2GB RAM, Z2560 Intel dual-core 1.6GHz processor, 16GB internal memory, dual-SIM slot, 13 megapixel camera and 3300mAh battery.

The phones are now available on Flipkart.
