Google adds hands-free voice search to Chrome browser

February 28, 2014 By Kunal Gangar Leave a Comment

Voice search on Google.com

Google’s hands-free search has been added to the beta build of Chrome desktop browser. Google says any user who opens a new tab or visits Google.com will be able to search by saying “Ok Google” and not type a single alphabet. The hands-free approach will also enable users to set a time and even create reminders for Google Now. The feature will initially be available for English (US) language and can be enabled by going to Google.com, clicking the mic icon and clicking “Enable Ok Google.”

Google hasn’t specified a release for the stable channel but given the previous record, Google will add the feature in the coming weeks.
